ABOUT DES ROWAN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Wedding Photographer Des Rowan is a master at capturing emotion and sincerity in every image. He is one of the most prolific wedding photographers in Northern Ireland.
Although Des is Bangor based, he works at weddings all over Northern Ireland and will travel to any wedding destination in Europe or beyond.
At the age of 17 he captured his first wedding while studying photography, he was accepted by the prestigious Edinburgh film school but decided photography was his first love and started Northern Exposure Photography by the age of 20. Since then he has covered over 1500 weddings.
STYLE
His style has been perfected over many years, with an artistic blend of the stylish contemporary and photojournalistic. His images have emphasis on emotion and he brings a sharp eye for small details, and an appreciation on the significance of every moment. His unique ability to capture various photographic styles create memorable wedding images that will remain timeless.
“I do not limit myself to one particular style when capturing a wedding, as this usually lacks depth and would only show a narrow view of the day. I prefer to give the client a large body of various genres of work enabling them to have a choice of what they want to use in their completed album, enabling me to tell more than one story.”
APPROACH
A vast experience and relaxed attitude result in a great time at every wedding, creating beautiful unobtrusive pictures. He believes that weddings are iconic events in couples lives and his main goal is to allow people to have an amazing time and for him to be able to capture all those moments.
“Its how I express my passion and capture the real emotional moments of sincerity. I want the viewer to really feel like they are there in a moment. Storytelling is my favorite aspect of photography. And weddings are tailor-made stories, ready to be captured.”
